Frequently asked questions
Is SkyRoute free?+
Yes. SkyRoute is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Your mobile data charges apply.
Why does SkyRoute need my location?+
To show where you are, plan and re-route trips, scan your area for incidents and weather, and warn you about speed limits and what is ahead. You can use place search, weather and radar without granting location.
What are background road alerts, and how do I turn them off?+
When this setting is on, SkyRoute keeps checking the road ahead while your phone is locked and shows a notification while it does. It is off by default. Turn it off in Settings, or remove "Always" location access in your phone settings.
The traffic, toll or arrival time looks wrong. Why?+
SkyRoute uses live public and commercial sources, which can be delayed or incomplete. Where data is not available, the App shows it as unknown instead of guessing. Always follow road signs and actual conditions. To report a consistent problem, email us the route and time.
Which languages are supported?+
English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Change the language in Settings.
Will SOS or crash detection call emergency services for me?+
No. They prepare messages for your trusted contacts, which you send from WhatsApp or SMS, and show emergency numbers you can call. In an emergency, call 112 directly.
I did not receive my WhatsApp sign-in code.+
Check that the number is on WhatsApp and has an internet connection, wait a minute, then request a new code. You can also sign in with Google instead.
How do I delete my account?+
In Settings → Privacy & data, tap "Delete account and all data". Uninstalling the app also removes your data. See the delete-account page for details.
